About Me

I am a multimedia specialist with experience in several areas of photo, video, audio, and live productions. I have been proudly shooting photos and making videos for personal and client use, all the while learning and growing along the way. I have continued to grow my skillset in order to advance myself within this industry. In times when the crunch of the project was bearing down on me, I owe a lot to my military background which gives me the fortitude to keep taking one step forward no matter what. I am currently a M.Div. student at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and hope to be used for the glorification of God's Kingdom, wherever He may place me. I am a husband, a heartfelt Christian, a reliable friend, a hard worker, a decorated military veteran, an intuitive learner, a history enthusiast, and an ever imaginative creator.

All Things AV

I originally began video editing and script writing for high school projects and had accidentally fallen in love with the process along the way. As I began to pursue this passion in a meaningful manner, I was blessed to have a guiding hand and mentor in Mario Zie Chang who helped me understand the concepts of visual storytelling and understand my own hardware. It was also around this time that I was inexplicably thrust into the role of an AV specialist at my church youth group and rose up to the challenge, learning how to mix audio and set up light designs. In a way, my media journey has been a road full of twists and turns, pushing me into areas of media I never thought I would find myself in. Rather than focusing on a single element of production, my experience allows me to be literate in navigating multiple facets of the production pipeline. So whether it be photo, video, sound, or lighting, I have been pushed to pursue excellence and know how to pursue it.

Church Service

Striving to be a man of peace

My greatest drive towards excellence of my craft and care for those around me stems from my Christian faith. I am a firm believer, being baptized in 2008, graduating with a B.A. in Christian Studies in 2021, and will be pursuing my M.Div. at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I grew up and served at New Song Church, one of the largest Korean-American churches in the DFW metroplex, where I learned to love the Lord and to love others with the help of my family, Sunday school teachers, pastors, and brothers and sisters in Christ. I served in the AV booth since 2010, did photo/videos since 2014, youth and children's Sunday school since 2017, and leading the English Ministry's media team since 2018. I left my childhood church in 2022 and have since joined and am serving at Living Stones Fellowship Church.

Through all the tough times that we have endured together, it is my great honor and my great joy to be with my family and serve and inspire the next generation of believers.

Military Service

One of the greatest formative events in my life, from 2013 to 2019 I was blessed to be a part of the Texas Army National Guard, serving with the 372nd Combat Support Sustainment Brigade, 294th Quartermaster Company as a parachute rigger. During this time I learned what it meant to be resilient and to be a joy in a dark environment. It was during my time in the military that I received my calling for military chaplaincy as I seek my M.Div with the hope of reaching out and addressing the spiritual needs of the service members and their families. As a parachute rigger, I was required to be a jump current parachutist in order to pack parachutes. In addition to the skills I learned as a parachute rigger, I had also received additional training in swift water response, combat lifesaving and tactical trauma care and first aid. I have received commendations for my faithful and unwavering service to my unit not just a parachute rigger, but also as a volunteer chaplain as well as a volunteer photographer.

My medals and ribbons include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Texas National Guard Humanitarian Service Ribbon. I have also earned the U.S. Army Basic Parachutist Badge and the U.S. Army Parachute Rigger Badge.
